Happy Summer

Yesterday was the official start of summer. It's felt like the dead of summer here for the last month. Here's a picture of Henry in his new chair "pruning" the flowers. Thanks to G-Daddy and MiMi for the chair. We had a wonderful visit with them.

Henry's First Swim

Henry LOVES the pool! It took him a little while to get used to it, but after a couple of visits, he doesn't want to get out of the water. When the pool opened more than two weeks ago, I was so excited to take him. After taking four hours to get the swim bag packed, the swim diaper on, the sunscreen on, the cooler packed, etc... Henry fell asleep on our three minute walk to the pool. And, he stayed asleep for an hour. Kyle and I waited patiently for him to wake him, and when he did, I dunked his little toes in the water. He screamed. So, I dunked the toes in the water again. He screamed again. Needless to say, we determined our first trip to the pool was a bust.

Fast forward to Saturday. The kid couldn't get enough pool time. He stayed in the water all day long. Looks like we'll spending a lot of time at the pool this summer. :)

Springtime Fun

Kyle, Henry and I are getting ready for summer. The yard is in good shape. The pool opens on Friday. We're ready for a fun, and hot, summer! We've been busy lately. Here's a glimpse of the last two weeks.

Henry wants to stand! He just rolled over 10 days ago, and only in the last month has been sitting on his own. Now, he wants to stand. Time is flying!

We got Henry some shades for the pool this summer. They have crokies. Again, just like Daddy.

My First Mother's Day

I had a wonderful first Mother's Day! My parents came in town for the weekend. Kyle and I were able to sleep a little later in the mornings and Henry had great quality time with GiGi and Grandpa Walker.

Catching Up

Once again, I've gone a long time without blogging. As you know life just gets busy. Henry continues to grow and do remarkably well. He is near 20 pounds and is more than 27 inches long. He's wearing 9 - 12 month clothes! He eats breakfast everyday - usually pears or apples with oatmeal. And, he has dinner every night. We introduced peas this week and he really like them. The only food he doesn't seem to like is green beans, but he still eats them. He is sitting on his own, but still has the occasional tumble, and he has FOUR teeth and a fifth one breaking the gum on the bottom. Henry will be seven months on Friday. He seems more like a little boy than a baby with each passing day. We absolutely adore him - here are some of our favorite pictures from the last month.

Happy Easter
